TRIGGER WARNING On May 3, 2017 - I discovered that I was 'spotting' after using the restroom. I immediately called a close friend/colleague of mine and told her what just happened. She instructed me to go the Emergency Room (ER) to make sure that I was alright. Let me restate that in another way, to make sure that my baby was alright. I immediately got dressed and began calling 'the father of our child' and told him what was going on and that I was on my way to the ER. (Pause) - after what felt like agonizing moments of utter silence, he told me that he'd meet me at the hospital as soon as he was done with his presentation. My response was simply 'okay'. I had to remain calm until everything was checked out and I could be sent on my 'merry way'. *SN: Why do people even say such a thing as 'Merry Way'? I mean where did that term even come from; However, I digress.

As we come to the end of another Finer Womanhood Month, we thought we would take a stroll down memory lane. It has been 10 years since Amber Pratcher and the RZ team created #IAmZeta, a campaign highlighting more than 150 members of our beloved sorority. In what felt like a matter of days, our team compiled several features on amazing women who were doing amazing things in the world. We highlighted undergraduates and graduate members alike. We also featured past, present, and future officers at every level of the sorority. It was a campaign that would set the tone for highlighting the best of any NPHC organization.
You may be wondering, what are those sorors up to now? We agree and we want to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of #IAMZETA by sharing updates on the sorors who were highlighted in the original campaign. If you were featured then and would like to be among those featured for the 10 year anniversary of #IAMZETA , submit your story and photo https://www.rz1920.com/rzstory.
Below you will find a sample of the finer women highlighted back in 2014.

A Roadmap for Busy Women to Thrive in Every Role
Women around the world can relate to being busy, whether it’s the job, home, children, spouse, or just LIFE, and when life starts life-ing, we tend to grab that Superwoman cape with Wonder Woman bangles and Cheetara speed. Look, pssst…read this.
Hey there, busy ladies! We know that life can often feel like a never-ending race, juggling work, family, and everything in between, according to my blog Unscripted Daily, we wear enough hats to fill the Kentucky Derby, and rest us usually not an accessory.
But it’s crucial to remember that self-care for women is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Taking time for yourself isn’t selfish; it’s an investment in your well-being.
In this article, we’ll explore some actionable steps to help you slow down, practice self-care, and champion a balanced lifestyle.
Make self-care a non-negotiable part of your routine. Schedule it like you would any other appointment. Consider it as important as any other commitment in your life. Embrace the Power of Saying “No”! Don’t overextend yourself by saying yes to everything.
